In the peaceful village of Aulong, Taiping, lies a little bakery that has been warming hearts since 1947 — Chok Kee Confectionery (祝记饼家).
For more than seven decades, our family has kept alive the tradition of handmaking the iconic Taiping Kaya Puff (咖椰角) — known for its golden flaky crust and rich, aromatic kaya filling.
Every puff is made fresh daily in small batches, using time-tested recipes passed down from generation to generation. What began as our grandfather’s craft has now become a piece of Taiping’s culinary heritage — loved by locals and visitors from all over Malaysia and beyond.
Because each batch is handmade and limited, we highly recommend ordering before your visit to avoid disappointment.
